Stephen is a licensed architect in Illinois and Wisconsin, NCARB certified, with over 15 years of architectural experience. He leads Coorlas Architecture, specializing in bespoke residential and creative retail projects. Previously, he served as Design Director and Project Manager at firms including Papageorge Haymes, Ghafari Associates, Solomon Cordwell Buenz, and Camburas Theodore, where he directed designs for industrial complexes, high‑rise residences, and flagship retail.
Stephen’s work has been recognized with distinguished honors, including the AIA People’s Choice Award, and has been profiled by leading voices such as Bloomberg and Autodesk. Since 2021, he has extended his influence as a mentor, guiding the next generation of architects in reconciling emerging technologies with timeless design principles. Beyond practice, Stephen treasures time with his wife and four children, exploring the world as a source of inspiration
